The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move away whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could need. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this best robot cleaner price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
